Meet the Team – Esi Addae
Esi joined us in October 2021 initially with the idea that she would be hauling tonnes of cabbage from donor organisations, driving pallet trucks and chopping vegetables to support feeding schemes. However, her professional skills and talents are much more valuable to Nosh so her professional skills and talents have been aligned to what NOSH currently needs and she is now supporting beneficiary liaison, governance support and supporting Hanneke where required.
Qualified as a Chartered Company Secretary in the UK, Esi has experience working with investment and fund managers in the sectors of infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate and healthcare. Her roles have involved the provision of legal and governance risk services for entities registered across the world. She has previously been directly responsible for the company secretarial, corporate and governance affairs relating to a portfolio of between 200 and 500 companies.
Prior to joining the corporate sector, Esi volunteered and worked for Voluntary Service Overseas as part of their International Citizen’s Service programme, which was Department of International Development funded programme that developed 18-25 year olds to work on development programmes overseas and in the UK. Working in Kwale, Kenya she began working on funding applications, tree planting schemes and school based activities teaching young children about the plants and animals in their immediate environment.
An enthusiastic and occasionally successful cook, Esi is also keen to combine her passion for cooking, researching recipes and indigenous ingredients with a sustainable approach to utilise all of her ingredients, avoiding food waste!
Esi, welcome to the Nosh team!
