Approximately 800 tonnes of food rescued! NOSH Festive Season Drive.
Wow, 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us! The Nosh team would like to thank you for your continued support during this unprecedented time. Despite the turmoil – and partially because of it – we kicked into a higher gear at the beginning of Lockdown and in these last 9 months we rescued approximately 800 tonnes of food that was redistributed to over 100 beneficiary organisations across Gauteng. 9 months is the human gestation period, so you could say we had Food Baby.
We launched the NOSH Festive Season Drive, giving you another platform to assist us in contributing towards nutritious meals for the most needy over the upcoming Silly Season. The Nosh Team and our beneficiary organisations will still work hard to provide what they can for the needy and less- privileged.
Have you perhaps thought about a contribution in lieu of gifts for people you are not able to be with due to travel restrictions? If you give us their digital details, we’ll make sure they get a personalised thank–you.
If you want to contribute financially a donation goes a long way, even small amounts help us to #FeedBelliesNotBins !! Your gift will also assist us in keeping the wheels turning and distribute further tonnes of rescued food to our beneficiary organisations at a time where, for various reasons, less and less people are able to go home for the festive season.
We completely understand that we are not the only ones vying for your hard-earned moolah, so if you cannot contribute in that way, please would you spread the word amongst your friends and help us grow our social network? Awesome!
Additionally, should you have, or hear of any surplus during or after the celebrations, you can contact us at email@example.com and we will do our best to put you in touch with someone who can make use of it!
The NOSH team would like to take a moment to thank all our volunteers, collection teams and donors as well as anyone who supported our cause in any way this year. Be assured that your support made a difference in the life of many unprivileged South Africans – you ROCK!
We wish you a safe and great festive season and happy New Year 2021.
