Our big news this month is that Nosh is venturing into Botswana!

Nosh Food Rescue Botswana was formed as a result of a collaboration between Nosh Food Rescue NPC South Africa (NOSH SA), the Culinary Passions School of Hospitality, also in SA, and various civic-minded individuals and community leaders in Botswana. NOSH SA started as a weekly road-side soup kitchen in Johannesburg in 2015, grew exponentially, was officially established as a non-profit in 2017 and has rescued surplus produce equating to over 7 million meals since 2020. The NOSH vision is a South Africa without hunger and zero food waste in landfills – a vision which NOSH intends to extend beyond South African borders as well – starting in Botswana
